The first National Glass diner was built on the same system (at 711 S. Towson Ave., Fort Smith), but was demolished in the 1970s. This one was built from modular components in six days on site, for Woody Mays to go with his motel. It is considered a classic example of Art-Moderne architecture.

Old South boasts of having served “two Presidents and a King”, who are all real but will not be disclosed here. Both presidents are still alive as of this date, and one should be easy to guess. The other is not from far away. The King is not still alive, but was also didn’t come from far away.
