Designed by Henry J. Goodwin, this stylist post-War drive-in features a gigantic donut on top — 32’-2.4” (9.8 m). Opened as the second Big Donut outlet. (Once boasting ten outlets but now defunct, four remain, including this one.)

While plenty of SoCal landmarks have had their share of screen time, few have gotten as much more than this one, which has appeared in Iron Man II, Entourage, Dope, The Golden Child, Coming to America, Californication, California Girls, 2012, Earth Girls Are Easy, Mars Attacks!, Volcano, Get Shorty, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Victorious, and many other films and TV shows, as well as music videos by Randy Newman (“I Love L.A.”), Red Hot Chili Peppers (“Californication”), and Becky G (“Becky from the Block”).
