A 1940s J.B. Judkins Co. Streamliner diner (#406) in Granby, Connecticut
Notes:
One of the very few Sterling Streamliners still in existence. Originally at 218 Main Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts (current location of Supreme Roast Beef), where it replaced an earlier 1928 Ward & Dickinson, and before that a wheeled lunch wagon (as early as 1902). Moved to Route 28 in North Salem, New Hampshire in the late 1980s and operated as Ralph’s, and later 28 Bar & Grill. Closed in 2003 and moved to current location in 2005. Plans to reopen it as June’s never came to fruition.
