Notes:
Started as a seasonal roadside hot dog stand in 1946. Current structure built 1957. Longstanding mid-Connecticut landmark near the extreme east end of Meriden on historic Route 66, which used to have many more places like this between Meriden and Windham. No relation to the famous Guida’s Dairy in nearby New Britain, despite popular local belief, but the restaurant does have its own ice cream bar, serving Gifford’s ice creams.
