A local institution famed for its burgers. A fire in late 2007 forced longtime owner Norah (originally along with the titular owner Jack) to close and sell the place. A few others tried to operate it since, but it’s been closed most of that time. It was sold again in late 2017 to new owner Shawn Gilbert (who also runs Studio 13, 42 Degrees Below, and the Electric Chair) who reopened it early 2018, keeping the iconic sign (though it’s uncertain if neon will be reinstalled).
