Former Station View Diner on Liberty Street. In 1982, owner Roger Bernashe obtained an Amtrak Dining Car from the yard in New Haven and had it carefully attached to one end of the diner. Diners enter through the main diner and step up into the dining car. Reservations available. The other corner of the diner has been opened and extended into extra seating. Other than these two cutouts, however, it remains mostly original, with minimal modification, and still has the look and feel, inside and out, of its classic origins. This is a very popular establishment, famed for its French meat pie; reservations recommended, as there can be a substantial wait if you’re not sitting at the counter.
