Built c. 1927 by George Coleman of Sanford in the style of a railroad car. Coleman operated it at 166 Main St. in the Springvale area of Sanford as Coleman’s Cafe until 1931, when he moved it to Kennebunk, next to the Downing Block. Sold 1933 to Ernest Jones, and moved 1 August of that year to its last location and operated it as Jones’ Diner. Sold again Nov. 1965 to Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Coyne. Operated until at least the late 1960s. [Gary Thomas, Mike Engle]
