Likely first placed in Smyrna, Delaware before being traded and sold to Smoky Wetzell, who operated it at Pittsgrove Circle in Pittsgrove, N.J.(also known as Pole Tavern Circle — jct. US-40, NJ-77, Cty-, Cty-635), known locally as the Pole Tavern Diner. Restored from gutted shape by Steve Harwin (Diversified Diners, Cleveland) in 2003 and sold to private collectors Michael and Betsy Dingman.
The diner was auctioned off 24 June for an impressive $336K. Buyer, destination, and disposition unknown.
