The original Miss Glenmont Diner, probably a Brill and part of the Miss Albany chain, sat on the other side of the road and was destroyed by fire. This newer one was originally the Basset Diner, and later Uncle Milty’s, until 2004.

Closed 16 March 2020, originally in light of CoVID-19. On 5 June, the closure was announced as permanent. On 12 March 2021, it was announced that the Stewart’s next door would buy and demolish the diner in order to expand. Five days later, Stewart’s announced a revised plan to merge the parcels while preserving the original diner.
