Started as the Iceland Brothers in 1888, then Iceland & Katz in 1903, and finally Katz’s in 1910, and moved across the street in 1917. This iconic Jewish deli has been legendary in its own right for so long that it doesn’t need any help from the many films and TV shows it’s appeared in, including Law and Order, Donnie Brasco, Across the Universe, Enchanted, We Own the Night, and more. It’s probably best known, however, from perhaps the most memorable scene in 1989’s When Harry Met Sally.

All meat is cured on site, taking up to a month.
