Notes:
A longtime downtown (literally a stone’s throw from Town Hall) mainstay. Started by Vilgot “Jigger” Lingberg, who had operated a hot dog and hamburger eatery named Lindy’s next door, while a 1917 lunch cart (unknown make) operated where the diner is now, by Alan, Leo, and Ralph Borden. In 1928, Jigger moved the cart to Wickford Village and replaced it with a 1929 WLC, #632. Replaced by the current diner in 1950. Closed 1983, reopened 1992. Closed a couple more times, briefly, in 2010 and 2011. Reopened 2012 as Jigger’s Hill and Harbor Diner.
