Present structure built out around two former Woonsocket Fairmount line interurban light rail passenger cars (make and year unknown), starting in 1929, by the LaVoie family. Living quarters, taproom, and dining room added 1930. Remodelled 1964 with added dining room and cocktail lounge for entertainment, “Cat’s Meow”. Renovated again 1971 after damaging Thanksgiving Even fire. Pub room opened 1978.
Closed 2015 after 75 years when the LaVoie family decided to retire from the business. New owners Al Costantino and Meshell Adamo, who plan to demolish most of the existing structure, but hope to save and restore the railcars at the centre of it.
