Second oldest restaurant in Utah. The eatery began as Ruth’s Hamburgers in the Meredith Building (120 E. 2nd St. S.), until the building was demolished. Ruth then bought a retired Salt Lake City trolley and moved it to the current location, adding an apartment in back that is now that is now the lower dining area and kitchen. Ruth sold the diner in 1977 to Curtis Oberhansly, who sold it in 2001 to Tracy and Erik Nelson.
