The style is somewhere between Willy Wonka and Sid & Marty Krofft. A riot of bright colours and dramatic curves inside and out, with ice cream dishes and treats that have to be seen to be believed — including a monstrous nine-scoop, nine-pound banana split. But while ice cream is the main attraction, there’s plenty of food, too.

Originally opened more than half a century ago, it’s been through some changes, including a damaging fire in Sept. 2019.
